It seems that it is all about of who can provide the best multimedia entertainment system in today’s electronic consumer market. Who can make the largest LCD TV screen, who can make the best computer and of course who can make the best game console which breaks all records until now set.
The game console market is a continiously moving market. Beside famous game console collectibles the new age versions like the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the best of all the Nintendo WII. But which game console truly disserves to take home the metal of the contest “Best Game Console 2008“.

As time passes away the technology capabilities and dimensions optimizations did realised a big progression in new releases. The PlayStation 3 has stunning graphics capabilities that go way beyond your imagination. The Xbox 360 comes with a truck load of game titles developed to keep any gamer entertained for many hours. Last but certainly not least the Nintendo WII with its incredible revolutionary new controller concept. The introduction of the Nintendo WII new gaming concept shocked and was an eye opener to the whole gaming market.
But is there a real clear cut winner here? When all these consoles have such great features in them it’s hard to pick which one is truly the best and thereby personal taste is an important driver buying a specific game console. Maybe looking at it from a different angle will help,…prices vs. quality ratio. We all know that typically the new age game console and the gaming software are extremely expensive.
The Xbox 360 and the Nintendo WII prices has gone down considerably last couple of weeks while the PlayStation 3 is still holding on to its release date consumer prices. This is not an absolute shocker to the market because the PlayStation 3 was expected from start to be a big hit and popular console. But still, there is no clear winner here on specifications. I have got my personal opinion and favors for the Nintendo WII because of it revolutionary way of handling and game playing. It adds a complete new dimension to game and RPG game planning. It surprised the consumer electronics market from young to old age gamers. It really changed something and there for is it my #1 Game Console 2008 and I would advice you to buy a Nintendo WII rather than the other to mentioned game consoles. Try to find the Nintendo WII in sale and discount sets including games and WII add-ons.
I am very curious for your opinion about different game consoles around. Please share your personal gaming console experience with us and let me your number 1 game console 2008!

It used to be Playstation but since 3 months definitely Nintendo WII
WII addons are great! I love the WII Sword!
WII WII WII WII WII !!!! WE LOVE WII !!!
A gift from heaven …. thank you god for
giving us the Nintendo WII
I own a Wii and an Xbox 360 and I must say the Wii is a lot more interactive and therefore in my opinion more fun. The graphics I still like better on the 360 though and the Wii could improve on this. The controls are absolutely amazing though and it was worth the money for sure.
Nice blog you got going here.

Xbox 360, not nintendo is my favourite.
Number and quality of available games is my most important criteria. And any console that has halo3 among it’s list of games deserves to win!.
such an amazing game - this halo3.
Being an owner of all three systems I would have to say that my Wii has received the absolute least play time. It’s not that I don’t love the thing, but until recently what was there to play that wasn’t shuffleware? Don’t get me wrong, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, and Super Mario Galaxy were all excellent games but how do you stack them up against Mass Effect or Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune?
But having been playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl since slightly before the Japanese launch, I can honestly say that the other two systems might be gathering some dust. This game will most likely result in an even smaller availability of Nintendo Wii’s in the US. Good thing I got mine on launch :-).
My vote goes for Xbox 360 because the quality of games they’ve been releasing has been excellent. I’ve had a chance to dig into Lost Odyssey on it and I have to say that it is impressive. With HD-DVD biting the dust, my Playstation 3 has become more of a media player/Blu-ray player than anything else. But if Nintendo went back to their “Seal of Approval” on the games that they allow to be released for their system (Joystiq has an excellent podcast discussing this), my vote would change in their favor.
Well IMO, for budget gamerz Wii is the best possible console to buy, but when it comes to hardcore high end gaming with cutting edge graphcs nothing beats PS3,& one more advantage is that u get a Blu Ray drive , which is quite costly to buy seperate . & u can install Open suse on a PS3.
few good points about Xbox 360 are,
Good exclusive title’s like Halo3 , & gr8 online gaming experience, & with many features like selecting which player to play with, which includes a list of friendly opponents & also the opponents which u dont wanna play with.
so for online gameplay XBOX 360 is the best.
So overall rating goes with XBOx360, with gr8 overall features.
This is rather subjective, but I would have to say xbox 360. I love the Wii but the games aren’t that great. I love the PS2 cause it just seemed to have great games, hardware, and has logevity. The Super Nintendo was fun, and for me started it all so I have a nostelgic love for it.
But at the moment 360 is the key. Living in Australia it has been around the longest, has a lot of cool games and just feels nice to play compared to the PS3.
I think the ultimate would be the 360 with motion sensor games like the Wii, a bit of family fun, and some classic mario and sonic. But I guess we can all dream.
