Just when everything has looked the same in the gaming world, Nintendo took a riskier path. Nevertheless, all efforts have paid off, and one of its newest technologies, the Nintendo Wii, is getting rave reviews all over the world.
But what is Wii, and how is it different from Xbox, GameCube, and Playstation? How does it exactly work? Learn to trudge upon the world of Wii consoles.
Setting the Difference with Wii’s Interface
It seems like there’s much difference when you talk about consoles of different video games. But Wii is ultimately different. It aims to revolutionize game play, not just to improve what is already available in the market.
Innovation can be one of the better reasons why Nintendo designers have come up with Wii. Gone is the joystick, and all that is left is an ordinary-looking remote control. Yet the ultimate secret of Wii is in the controller itself. For one, gyroscoping has never been this easy. After all, what you can control is the Wii controller itself. It can ultimately perform a series of console functions, such as tilting in different direction, rotation, and even acceleration. All you have to do is to move the controller to any direction that you want it to. NERF Wii Blaster: Shoot The TV And Your FriendsThe NERF N-Strike series of guns have really brought their toys back into the spotlight and with the recent partnering of EA and Hasbro, it looks like they’ll be expanding their reach. While there already are two different Nintendo Wii Blasters (one official and one not) it would seem kind of silly to break into a market that doesn’t have that many games to support it at this point. But Hasbro isn’t kidding around on this one. Packaged with their NERF N-Strike game coming to the Nintendo Wii will be a gun peripheral that is also a fully functioning NERF gun.
Apparently the game has both a single player and multiplayer mode and is centered around “NERF Mayhem”. Just make sure that whoever has the NERF N-Strike gun when you’re playing multiplayer is not a sore sport.

The Nintendo WII is unlike any game console you have ever played before. Unlike your new age “old” ps2 or Xbox, the Wii is a completely one of a kind in game console land. One of the main features is the console’s game controller, which unlike other game consoles, you can control by simply moving your hand. The Nintendo Wii makes all the games extremely realistic, by putting in body motions to control the games, instead of simply pushing buttons.
By using body motions within the controller, the Nintendo Wii makes you feel move interactive and more involved into the game. The controller isn’t the only new cool feature in the WII console. There are also USB add-ons for this console, which enables you to plug in extra hardware like a WII microphone, or WII keyboard more nifty hardware devices. This extra Nintendo hardware is only designed for the Nintendo WII console and therefore will not work on other game consoles.
