The delivery company didn’t call us on checkout but did call us the day after it got to our city (4 days). They gave a 3 hour window for the next day which is pretty good and were here as they said (Got TV in 5 days from ordering.) Brought the TV just where we wanted it. Didn’t unpack it because it was cold? They said to wait 2 hours. I’m no expert so I don’t know if that was the truth or an excuse. But they were really nice. They gave instructions on unpacking and keeping the packing in case of a return or exchange.

Quick start is quick! Out of the box, plug, find channels and go! Already mounted on a stand out of the box. Love the picture as is without fine tuning. The back is designed maybe a little too slim, though. Not much space to get the connection for an ordinary cable in – had to squeeze it in its slot – couldn’t use the screw type with no space to screw it in. There’s much more space for HD connections which we don’t have. Maybe when we add a blu-ray, etc.

Viewing distance with LED truly doesn’t matter as the local sales guys say. We were afraid 55 would be too big for a 6-8 feet distance but it isn’t.

Wii – if you don’t already have one, you may need an HD-Wii cable (35 at gamestop, maybe cheaper elsewhere, plus there are 3rd party types). The original Wii cable has only 3 connections; you need the 5. Without it, we had sound, no color and fuzzy images. With it, and with Wii settings – Screen – TV resolution set to 480p, great!

Received my Samsung UN55B7000 55 1080p LED HDTV 1 hour ago and I am ecstatic. $1699.00 no interest for 24 mos., free shipping in 3 days and no 8 1/2% tax. This is $300 better then best local at Frys. and with tax savings and delivery charge!! Was delivered by Pilot Transport. They wheeled it into my living room, unpacked, set it up on my fireplace and hooked up cable and electric. Took about 15 minutes. I am 70+ yrs old and can not lift or use my hands well. The man from Pilot, Orlando Amayas, was really nice and above and beyond in his service.

I read the quick setup guide and ran it through time set, channel scan and started watching.

Outstanding TV

This television has an amazing picture and does not heat up like a plasma screen. Viewing is excellent from all angles; sports are crystal clear with absolutely no motion blur. Be sure to visit some of the tech websites for a list of the most effective picture settings.

I absolutely love my new TV, and I love that Amazon was so easy to order from and the delivery was timely. The picture on this TV is incredible. I have it hooked up to a receiver and speakers, so I can’t speak to the sound. Due to having it hooked up to a receiver, I have found that because my receiver is older and not a 1080 receiver, I’m not getting full 1080p reception. I plan to replace my receiver in the future to go with my Blue Ray player and new TV and I’m sure I’ll be delighted.

A Good TV.. With a Few Exceptions

I bought this TV about a week ago and have been fairly impressed. There is a lot to like about this TV, but there are also a few problems.

The Good:
The picture is great; very clear with both HDTV and BluRays. The black levels and contrast are very good. The sound isn’t terrible (with some tweaking), but it isn’t anything to write home about. The settings are very intuitive and easy to work with.

The Bad:
I’ve already mentioned the sound, but it bears repeating: the sounds levels are just okay. You will not be able to turn the bass up to what I would call an acceptable level without making the speaker housings vibrate which can be very annoying. This wasn’t a deal killer for me as I paired it with a surround sound system, so I barely hear the TV speakers.

This TV is terrible for gaming. I should qualify this: This TV is terrible for playing music type games. There is considerable input lag using a Wii, even with the game mode turned on. I attempted to play Guitar Hero: World Tour after connecting the Wii to the TV using the new composite cables I had to buy (more on that in a minute), and found it to be unplayable. Because there is considerable lag, the strum does not register until just after the notes have passed, resulting in a missed note… many, many missed notes actually. This is not acceptable for me.

There are not enough inputs for gaming devices and there are only inputs for HD devices. While this may seem like a stupid complaint, remember that neither the Wii, nor the PS2 (outdated I know, but bare with me) have an HDMI output. I had to go buy HD Composite cables for both and a switch box because there is only 1 composite input on the TV. These cables aren’t really cheap, so that was another $60 I had to shell out. Also, there are only 4 HDMI inputs total, so if you have multiple gaming systems, a BluRay player and a cable/satellite box, you may need to buy an HDMI switch to get everything to work.

The Ugly:
You will need to take quite a bit of time to calibrate this TV to make everything look the way it should. Here is a quick tip though: if you don’t want everything you watch to have the quality of a commercial, turn off the 120Hz options (located in Picture Options > Auto Motion Plus 120Hz). Some people may like the ultra crisp effect that this adds to movies and programs, but I just feel it makes everything look very plastic and without depth.

All-in-all, this is a decent TV, that could will be great for some… but terrible for others. If nothing I listed will bother you, this is a great TV for the money and will not disappoint.

Resident Evil 4, known in Japan as Biohazard 4 is a survival horror third-person shooter video game developed by Capcom Production Studio 4 and published by multiple publishers, including Capcom, Ubisoft, Nintendo Australia, Red Ant Enterprises and most recently in Australia, THQ Asia Pacific. It is the sixth game in the Resident Evil series. The game was originally released on January 11, 2005 in North America, and on January 27 in Japan.

The game was intended to be a Nintendo GameCube exclusive, but a PlayStation 2 version was announced before the game was released for the GameCube. Resident Evil 4 was subsequently released in full for PC (Microsoft Windows) and Wii, and in heavily condensed versions for other platforms, including the iPhone OS, Mobile phones, and Zeebo.v

The gameplay focuses on action and shootouts involving crowds of enemies in large open areas. The camera is focused behind Leon, and it zooms in for an over-the-shoulder view when aiming a weapon. The addition of a laser sight adds a new depth to the aiming, allowing the player to aim in various

directions and easily change their placement at any time. Bullets now affect the enemies specifically where they are shot: shots to the feet can cause enemies to stumble, while shots to the arms can cause them to drop their weapons.

Another new aspect of Resident Evil 4 is the inclusion of context-sensitive controls. Based on the situation, the player can interact with aspects of their environment: kicking down a ladder, jumping out of a window, or dodging an enemy attack. There are also dynamic cut scenes, in which the player must press buttons indicated on-screen to execute actions such as dodging a falling boulder or wrestling an enemy to stay alive. These are often incorporated into the game’s many boss battles, where the player must avoid one-hit kill attacks. The Wii version expanded on this concept slightly by including a quick Wii Remote shake as a possible context sensitive action.

Capcom added new content made specifically for the PlayStation 2, which was later incorporated into the PC and Wii releases. The largest addition is Separate Ways, a minigame which revolves around Ada Wong’s involvement in Resident Evil 4 and her connection to Albert Wesker, a former member of STARS, who is now attempting to revive Umbrella. Ada’s Report, a five-part documentary, analyzes Ada’s relationship with Wesker and his role in the plot. Other unlockable content in all versions included The Mercenaries minigame, new costumes for Leon and Ashley, new unlockable weapons and a Movie Browser.
